Renaissance Plaza at Freehold is a recently acquired community shopping center located at the interchange of Route 9, Route 33 and Schanck Road in Freehold, Monmouth County, NJ. The center is accessed from Schanck Road, a major thoroughfare connecting downtown Freehold Borough to suburban Freehold Township. The center was originally built in 1971 and, until November 2007, was leased to Pathmark and Staples. Upon acquisition, the center was run-down, out-dated and a blight to the community. Renaissance Properties is currently in the design phase of a major redesign and renovation of the center, in turn creating what will be known asRenaissance Plaza at Freehold. The new, revitalized center will offer opportunities for both big-box retailers as well as smaller, neighborhood businesses. Unit sizes are expected to range from 1,000 SF to 35,000 SF.The center will have 991 parking spaces.
Because it is located at the interchange of Routes 9 and 33, Renaissance Plaza at Freehold has immediate access to north, south, east and west highways. Route 9 is Monmouth County’s most heavily traveled and commercialized retail corridor and Route 33 is Monmouth County’s most direct access to Exit 8 and 8A of the NJ Turnpike, and to NJ’s shore towns.
Renaissance Plaza at Freehold is approximately 2 miles from Freehold Raceway Mall, an enclosed regional mall that is home to department stores such as Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor, and restaurants such as PF Changs and The Cheesecake Factory. The center is also within minutes to downtown Freehold Borough, the Monmouth County Court House and CentraState Medical Center. |
